Today I whisked together:
1 tbsp mellow white miso
1 tbsp agave
1 tbsp tamari (you could use soy sauce, but I needed gf tamari)
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp spicy brown mustard
1 tsp Penzey's Mural of Flavor (spices, shallots, onion, garlic, lemon peel, citric acid, chives, orange peel)
I sliced the block of tofu into 12 equal slices and put them on the silpat on my baking sheet. I used my silicone brush and brushed the marinade onto the tofu. Then I baked it at 400ยบ for 20 minutes. I took out the tofu, flipped it, spread on the rest of the marinade, and baked it for another 7 minutes. I'm very careful about how long I bake my tofu - I like it crispy/chewy, but the kiddo and husband like it softer. I think this was a good mix of the two.

[ Smiles ] Great method to prepare tofu.
Do people really believe that we vegans are starving?
Keep up the good work, Sarah.
Thank you so much!
And I know! I actually have so many vegan cookbooks at this point that it's hard to narrow down what to eat.
I missed it the first time so I'm glad you posted this again. I'm printing this out to try next week - I love orange chicken and yours looks so good!
Thank you!! I used to love the sweet and sour kind.
