Just popping in real quick with the awesome smoothie I made this morning!
I saw the Friend's ep where Phoebe makes oatmeal raisin cookies the other day and so yesterday I had a huge craving for oatmeal raisin cookies - LOVE them. I thought about making the Veganomicon recipe but I have no self control so a whole recipe is a bad idea. With that in mind, I headed over to Chocolate Covered Katie's site and found her recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies. I made them, and ate them all, and they were really yummy, but something in them gave me a migraine - maybe the guilt from eating the whole batch of 5 cookies?
Today the craving was still with me, so I made the idea into a smoothie.
1 cup non dairy milk (I used Silk Coconut)
2 bananas (I used one frozen and one regular)
2 tbsp Bob's GF Oats
2 tbsp raisins
1/2 tsp cinnamon
I didn't get a pick, but it was REALLY yummy, and when I came back after my eye doctor appointment this morning (I'm 20/15!!, yeah Lasik!) the house smelled like cookies!
Yummy.

I don't know what recipe you used, but raisins/certain dried other fruit are actually a trigger for me. Fortunately there a mild trigger, so I can handle them so long as it's not a rainy day when I've gotten no sleep and forgotten to drink any water and accidentally eaten peanut butter and well, you know.
I'm so glad you found a smoothie that worked for you. I just thought I'd mention that in case, because that was one that took me ages to figure out. (Now I'm onto figuring out what out of my tofu+quinoa+raw kale+broccoli salad absolutely killed me the other day. If it's the tofu I'm crawling into bed and never leaving, thanks.)

Thanks paperweight!! I used CCK's recipe - it's just oats, sugar, brown sugar, butter, coconut milk, salt, raisins. I'll keep an eye on the raisins! I know what you mean about all hell breaking loose if the conditions are right - ugh. Migraines. So fun!
I'm with you on the tofu thing - if I have to quit gluten and tofu, I will weep. Just weep. And pb does it to you too!? So sad. Sometimes when I'm already getting a migraine I get myself a spoonful of pb and some chocolate and I just go for it.
And thank you! I am relatively okay head pain wise :) Of course it's 31º now, and tmw it's going to be 75º, so we'll see how that goes. I saw my eye doc today and she was asking if I knew what my triggers were and I grumbled "heat and humidity" and she just LAUGHED (which was kind of the reaction I was going for) because NC summer is like April to October.
