My first recipe! Orange Marmalade Tofu

Okay. I bought some orange marmalade for the VCTOTW orange pudding cupcakes even though I don't like marmalade. The cupcakes were of course great, but that left me with a jar of marmalade I have no other uses for. I have been watching a lot of Chopped lately and I decided to make use of the marmalade for tofu!

*Please note I haven't googled to see if this resembles any other recipes, but I concocted this all on my own.

1 block tofu (I used azumaya this time because it was on sale for $.89)

1/4 cup marmalade
1 tbsp gluten free tamari
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp agave
1 tsp dried thyme

Whisk ingredients together (not including tofu, of course). I cut a previously pressed block of tofu into 16 thin slices and sprayed a cookie sheet with nonstick spray and preheated the oven to 400ยบ. I lay the slices out on the sheet and then brushed the tops with the marinade and cooked for 20 minutes. I flipped them, rebrushed, and baked another 5 minutes until they started getting dark around the edges (I like crispy tofu).

This sounds great, I love citrus fruits combined in savouy dishes. Will bookmark this to use when the weather is cooler here.

Love this!

Market Restaurant in Raleigh makes an "Orange Tofu Sandwich" that is out of this world delicious. This recipe is probably very similar to how they make it.

These look so good! I'm always looking for new ways to use tofu, because it can be so bland and icky if you don't do it right!

I saw in another post you live in NC. Me too! I'm in Charlotte.
