Pumpkin Silk's purpose

Every time I buy Silk Pumpkin I think "Really? That's it? Why did I buy that?" and yet I keep buying it. I, like so many people, am a sucker for all thinks pumpkin. Just ask my Pumpkin Spice k-cups! Yummy. Fall in a cup!

So this time, I decided to find it's purpose. I put some pumpkin silk in a sauce pan, grated in some nutmeg, added some ground cloves and some cinnamon and warmed it up. YUMMY.

And here's some of my italian-y tofu with broccoli and quinoa. I didn't really like it this time but I usually love it - not sure what happened!

The tofu is marinated and baked in a mix of veggie broth, tamari, thyme (I don't usually add thyme, maybe that was it), oregano, basil, and olive oil.

You know, I get suckered into the pumpkin silk thing every year too. And every year I wonder why I bought it. This sounds great, though! Finally, a good use for it :)

So did that make the pumpkin silk worth it? Because jsut like you, I always buy it and then regret it after.

Carissa, it totally does! I might purposely buy it again and not just because I can't find nog or chocolate mint.

I feel the same way. I've tried to recapture the flavor, and I just can't do it mahself.

bahhaha. i also get sucked into all of the seasonal flavors. i did make my own pumpkin spice syrup this year, and it really is tastier. i made it for coffee drinks, but sometimes i just stir it into almond milk.
