My new favorite lunch salad and some dinner

Photobucket

So of course I'm a fan of Gardein - I have been since I first discovered their stuff in the produce section at Market Basket back in New Hampshire. I used to think my favorite was their Santa Fe stuffed Chick'n, but I'm beginning to think it's the Seven Grain Crispy Tenders - mmmm. It's hard to say because my selection is limited - I'm still shocked I can find Gardein in Fayetteville, it being vegan wasteland and all, but of what I can get, it's my favorite.

So I've been having them sliced on top of a "salad" (okay, it's just lettuce, I'm out of a lot of veggies and too lazy to run to the store) with a dressing that is equal parts (1 tablespoon each) of extra virgin olive oil, yellow mustard, and agave. So good!!

For dinner I made the jerk seitan from Vegan with a Vengeance.

I knew the kiddo wouldn't like jerk seitan, so here's her dinner.

I'm with you I really like the seven grain crispy tenders. When I first got them I was sure I made a mistake cause they were so tastey.

I have never tried Gardein! I'll have to see if my Market Basket carries them.

I just tried the 7 grain crispy tenders and I really like them. It's so funny, I cut them up and put it in a salad too. :-)

i love those things! I was surprised to find them in Knoxville, too. I think Oprah probably waved her hand and declared they would be available to everyone!

I am going to try that dressing recipe! Thanks! So easy! Is it like a honey mustard sorta kinda?
